Project Summary

Since its opening in 2012, Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in St. John’s has supported many families by offering affordable accommodations near the Janeway Children’s Health Centre, easing the burden of caring for a sick or injured child. Recognizing the importance of landscape and outdoor spaces in fostering a healing environment, RMH decided to enhance a large outdoor area with new amenities for both children and adults. Our team developed a vision for this space that included a fully accessible play area, a looped walking path, flexible lawn space, court games, a wetland lookout, and a pavilion. We developed detailed drawings, oversaw the tender process, and managed contract administration through to the completion of construction. Since its opening in 2023, the garden has provided a much needed getaway for children and families during their most challenging times.
